Day-by-day, Minecraft continues to grow in popularity, in size, and most of all, technically and artistically as Mojang improves on the game's capabilities and infrastructure, like with the latest update for the game that's just about to hit.

Announced in a post on Mojang's site, Minecraft will be receiving its 1.7.5 update tomorrow, Wednesday, February 26th, and while more of a minor update than a huge overhaul of the game, the latest update will still bring some great features (and the possibility for way more) when it hits. Mojang released update notes of what to expect in update 1.7.5:

  • Minecraft Realms adds mini game support (as described in this YouTube clip)
  • Several server-side performance improvements and bug fixes
  • Preparations to bring Minecraft Realms to more countries!

In addition, Mojang also mentioned that the company is looking to bring Minecraft Realms to Norway, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, and other Nordic regions beginning next week, and that 1.7.5 will be the start of a number of updates coming to the game over the next few months, expecting 1.7.6 to release some time after GDC in March.
