Mirror's Edge 2 on Hold Because You All Suck

It looks like a sequel to Mirror’s Edge was being worked on by DICE, but since sales of the title were so low the project has been stalled for now with all of the team being set to work on other unspecified projects. Patrick Soderlund of DICE has said that the Mirror’s Edge IP is close to his heart, but he doesn’t want to develop a game that he sees as being for charity.

This is very disappointing to me. The game wasn’t perfect by any means, but it took a lot of chances that a lot of companies have been afraid to take lately, and it seems they’re going to keep being scared of change. So the next time I see one of you complain about Call of Duty 17, Battlefield 12, or Madden 2012 and you don’t have Mirror’s Edge in your played games list I’m going to throw something at you.
