Today, Arc System Works America released a new trailer for The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories, the latest game by Hidetaka Suehiro. Also known as SWERY, he's the man behind Deadly Premonition and Dark Dreams Don't Die (D4).

This new trailer shows slightly different gameplay sequences than what we've seen so far. It also features an unknown character, possibly Emily, speaking with an extremely disturbing voice. It might seem like the voice acting is horrible, but according to Arc System Works America, it is purely intentional and we will understand the reason behind this choice by playing the game.

You can watch the trailer below. Be warned though that the game can be quite scary.

You can watch the previous trailer here. You can also read more about the game's inspirations and story as detailed by SWERY in an interview.

The Missing launches on October 11th for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

SWERY's studio White Owls also has another upcoming game, The Good Life, which was funded via Kickstarter.
