Warner Bros. is relaunching the MK Kollective, a creator hub for fans of Mortal Kombat 11 to show off their art and cosplay alongside other creators.

December 11, 2018

Warners Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced they will be relaunching the MK Kollective, a fan hub for those who love Mortal Kombat 11 to show off their original content (fan art).

The MK Kollective has launched with selected artists, cosplayers, sculptors, and more to be ambassadors for the hub and show off their creations celebrating Mortal Kombat and the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11. You can join the MK Kollective by using the hashtag #MKKollective on Twitter or Instagram and be featured on the website. Currently there aren’t many posts but unsurprisingly all of them are of fan-favorite Scorpion. The inclusion of scultpors and a baker has me very curious as to what kind of physical things will be created out of this community. Some Sugar cookies have already been created via Christine McConnell with a tease for a Gingerbread project coming on Christmas Eve.

Mortal Kombat 11 was announced at The Game Awards and both continues the story of the franchise as well as brings a new custom character variation system that, “gives players the creative control of building customized versions of the character roster.” Leaks have already begun as Shao Khan’s render has been leaked by GameStop Italy. Mortal Kombat 11 is scheduled to release on April 23, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
