Just when you thought Evan Longoria would alone be a powerhouse for 2K Sports “MLB 2K10”, the creators decided to partner with a few MLB big leaguers to help promote it. Some of our favorite players, like Andrew Bailey of the Oakland Athletics, Felix Hernandez or the Seattle Mariners, Jose Reyes of the New York Mets, Justin Morneau of the Minnesota Twins, Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers, Kendry Morales of the Los Angeles Angels and Nelson Cruz of the Texas Rangers, were called to put their own experience into the game. With the help of these players 2K Sports can help make way for what is to be believed the best realistic baseball game yet.
I believe that was a good move by 2K Sports, to call to the bullpen with these players. The idea for sports games like these is to be as real as possible, to give gamers a sense of what these professionals go through. But at the same time, they should try to make the game enjoyable as well. These two key aspects have to really balance each other out, for if they didn’t, it would just be another disaster yet again. If the players can describe and give in full detail the fundamentals they go through each game, through seven different experiences, I believe this might be the best game 2K Sports has to offer us yet, as far as baseball goes. The game is to be expected to be released on March 2.
