If you are playing the game for the first, but you don't know how to create new players, we can help.

MLB The Show 21 - Create a Player

First things first, you will find a circular option at the top right of your screen called "Create" which will lead you into a shortlist where you have to choose the Roster Control button. Now, on the new screen, you can easily spot the "Create Player" option. Select it and you will enter the customization menu of player creation.

A lot of technical and tactical parameters along with appearance-related options can be changed in each tab of the menu. Take your time and create the player that you really want to shine on the pitch. Once you are done with the customization menu, you should press a button on your controller that has been indicated as "Finish" on the bottom left of the screen. It's the Setting/Pause button on PS4/PS5.

Once you press the Finish, a new window will pop up asking you whether place the player in the Free Agent Pool or Export him. Select the Free Agent Pool And Export button. Now, save your creation. (Thanks, TheRunningWife!)

How to Add the New Player Into a Team

After saving your lately created player, you will be redirected to the Roster Control menu. Go to the Roster Control tab, then select the team that you want to add your new player into. Select the Player Movement button. Now, find the player that you have created from the Free Agent tab and replace it with another player from the team you have selected.

Exit and Confirm the change. Press the Auto-Fix Roster button (Square in PS4/PS5) and Confirm. Get back to the main menu of Roster Control and select the Save Roster button, then press Save Custom Roster to finish the process.

MLB The Show 21 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
