It's been a few days since some players who have already pre-ordered MLB The Show 21, can start playing it thanks to a bonus early access. Today, the developers rolled out MLB The Show 21 update 1.02.

MLB The Show 21 is the latest attempt from the Sony San Diego studio for delivering a brand new experience that simulates one of the popular sports in the world, especially for the US people.

For the first time ever, this year the MLB The Show series will also be available on the Xbox consoles as well. Actually, the game is now playable for those who have already pre-ordered it, but for the others, it will be available on April 20.

MLB The Show 21 Update 1.02 Patch Notes

Now, the players who have access to the game earlier can start downloading MLB The Show 21 update 1.02, which apparently wipes out some of the existing issues of the game and polishes the whole experience for its official launch on April 20. The update only includes the patch note below:

  • Tuning and polishing for opening day

If you are new to the MLB The Show series, then there are many things to learn about the game. We suggest you take a look at our guides on creating new players in MLB The Show 21, as well as the new Stadium Creator section of the game.

While the former is an essential tab available on every platform, the latter is a brand new tool only available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game.

It's worth noting that if you are a console Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you will be able to play MLB The Show 21 at launch.

There is no information on whether Sony will consider launching the game on PC or not in the future.
