Surprisingly, Toichiro is not returning as an antagonist this season, and we will see some other characters taking up that role. More interestingly, we aren't going to see any new faces, as the characters we know from the first and second seasons will do this job perfectly. Given the number of arcs left, it would be easy to conclude that season 3 will likely be the last season of Mob Psycho 100.

Divine Tree Arc

Divine Tree Mob Psycho

This arc will witness Dimple and the Divine Tree as the main villains. After a fierce battle between Mob and Toichiro, giant broccoli grows in the middle of the city, and people call it the Divine Tree. At the end of season 3, episode 1 of Mob Psycho, we meet a new character, Haruaki Amakusa -- a Yokai hunter who comes to the Seasoning City regarding the business related to the giant broccoli. He asks for Reigen's help, and after the assignment becomes a success, the Divine Tree absorbs all the remaining Yokai. This is probably going to be the first evil activity from the Tree.

In the upcoming episodes, we will also meet a new character, Psycho Helmet, an entity created by Dimple using the Divine Tree to accomplish his motive to rule the world. He makes his first appearance when Mob joins a cult meeting that has been serving the citizens with the powder of the Divine Tree and products made out of it, which makes them slaves of Psycho Helmet. While fighting Psycho Helmet, Teru realizes that Dimple is behind everything.

Mob and Reigan approach to cut the Divine Tree, but people of the city, including Ritsu, stop them under the influence of the Tree's power. Ultimately, Reigan also gets brainwashed, leaving Mob alone. As the citizens surround Mob in anger, Dimple orders them to let Mob inside the Tree. Dimple tries to convince Mob to join him, telling him that together they will rule the world. He also lures him into his plan by saying that brainwashed Tsubomi will also accept his proposal. But, after things don't work out, Mob has to defeat brainwashed Teruki and a whole army of Psycho Helmets.

After that, Dimple himself appears, who has been using the Divine Tree to suck up Mob's power reserves. But, the latter is so strong that he hardly notices it. We know how great Mob is in influencing others to walk on a good path, and that's what he does with Dimple now. Together, they share their feeling, and Dimple ultimately drops his plan of world domination. But there's a little more twist in the story. Mob passes out after the incident, and Dimple notices that the Divine Tree is closing its exit. The Tree has gained consciousness of its own, and it demands Mob be left there to provide it nutritious. Dimple is reluctant to do so, and he uses every drop of his power to hypnotize Mob and help him fly away, but Dimple sacrifices his own life.

???% Arc

Tsubomi and Mob

No matter how strong the villain is, once Mob reaches 100% rage, it's a matter of seconds before he makes them taste the dust. But what about the battle with his own self? Mob finally decides to confess his feelings for Tsubomi, for which he decides to meet her in the park. But things don't work out as planned, and Mob gets hit by a car while saving a child. The accident triggers an unknown percentage of rage in Mob, after which he goes on a rampage. Mob eventually regains consciousness, but his body is still not in his control.

Ritsu figures out the problem, after which Mob goes into his mind and tries to talk things out with ???%. Reigen calls out for Mob, while ???% treats him brutally. Soon, Mob and ???% find out that Reigen has been able to survive the attacks by borrowing the powers from Dimple, who was recently revived. Finally, Reigen decides to come clean and reveals that he has no powers and was only using Mob for his abilities, but he also admits that he loved spending time with him. Reigen tells Mob that he knows about his dual sides, and he should admit it.

As usual, Mob uses his persuasive skills and tries to settle things with ???% using words. The latter is terrified to imagine Tsubomi rejecting his confession but still agrees to give Mob full control of his powers, putting an end to his evil side once and for all. As for Tsubomi, she rejects Mob's offer. He tries to keep the feelings of rejection to himself but breaks down in front of Dimple and Reigen. Don't worry; he soon comes out of that rejection phase.
