Bandai Namco revealed the newest entry in the Gundam video game franchise, Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2, coming to PlayStation 4 in early 2018 in Japan.

The first trailer, surprising with English voice over, is more or less a teaser where a pilot can be seen approaching a mobile suit.

The first Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation launched on the PlayStation 3 in 2012 in Japan, the game was launched as a PSN exclusive game with online player versus player mech combat. Sadly, the servers in Japan recently shut down in July with Bandai Namco being relatively quite about what’s to come from the series. During gameplay players are perpetrated into teams where they can run around the map as a human and pilot their own Gundam. After sustaining damage, they’ll need to get out and fix their mech to get back to the fight.

Thankfully it seems the series will receive a western release, but no official announcement has been made at this time.
