It's almost here folks! After literal years of rumors, Amazon listings, and ratings, we may be only a few days away from a Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered reveal, as artwork for the game has appeared in the backend files of 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

The news comes the way of Reddit, who datamined all this information from Modern Warfare. The artwork is nothing special, being exactly what I imagined it would be: Modern Warfare 2's cover with the added text "Campaign Remastered" underneath it. As of the time of this writing, the artwork is still up on Reddit, however, if you're reading this after the artwork has been removed (which is almost certainly will be), you can check out the cover art below and see for yourself.

In addition to the cover itself, the Reddit user also leaked some interesting cosmetic items for Modern Warfare, based on Modern Warfare 2. If you purchase the aforementioned remaster, you'll apparently gain access to a new cosmetic DLC pack. In addition, there's even an upcoming pack for Modern Warfare that includes Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered in it. Again, if the images have been removed from the Reddit post, it's a bunch of Ghost-themed items from the Oil Rig chapter in Modern Warfare 2.

Currently, the game has not been officially announced by Activision. Although, given everything that's leaked and the fact that a well-known leaker said the game would be announced next week, I have a feeling that it won't be too much longer before we know exactly what the game will include.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is rumored to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. In the meantime, you can check out our review of both Call of Duty: Warzone and 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
