"New data mining information suggests Season 02 of MWII and Warzone 2 begins February 15th, not February 1st. Seems like the new Season may be delayed. No official announcement yet from Activision", CharlieIntel's tweet reads.

Despite the new season not actually being announced by Infinity Ward, new key art for Season 2 was leaked just weeks into the release of Season 1. The image was revealed by reliable leaker RalphsValve on WhatIfGaming, but has since been removed by Activision. In the key art, a fan-favorite map originally from Call of Duty: World At War appears in the background.

The map in question is Castle, which is expected to debut as a remastered multiplayer map in the upcoming season. Also included as the star of the key art is Ronin, an operator that originally appeared in 2019's reboot of the series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Of course, although the leak appears to be a reliable one, details on the new season have yet to be confirmed by the developers.
