Call of Duty fans got some good news just a few moments ago, as Activision and Infinity Ward have just revealed the first content season for Modern Warfare and it seems to be absolutely packed with content.

In terms of new multiplayer maps, players will be able to get their hands on three remakes of Modern Warfare classics: Crash (MW1), Vacant (MW1), and Shipment (MW1). Honestly, Crash and Shipment don't get me too excited as we've seen them in countless Call of Duty games since their original release in 2007. That being said, Vacant does get me incredibly excited!

On top of that, new Gunfight maps will also be added to the game. The two confirmed maps right now are Cargo (which looks partially inspired by Crew Expendable from Modern Warfare 1) and Atrium. While these are the only two confirmed maps, Activision did tease that more would be coming during the course of the season.

In addition, the game will be getting new weapons in the form of the RAM-7 (which looks like a TAR-21 from Modern Warfare 2) and the Holger-26 (which looks like an LMG variant of the G36C from Modern Warfare 1), as well as new Spec-Ops missions, game modes, and a new Ground War map.

As previously announced, all of this content will be available to all players for free on all platforms. The new content is set to go live on December 3, 2019. While this isn't the first piece of new content for the game, it does mark the start of the first "content season."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
