Well, the good news about Modern Warfare keeps on coming and coming. As expected, more and more details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are hitting social media and it was just confirmed that the new game will aim to make each and every mode more seamless. One of the ways Infinity Ward is doing this is by including cross-mode progressions for your weapons.

As reported on by CharlieINTEL, weapon progression is set to be universal across all modes. This means that if you only want to play one mode, you'll be able to grind and unlock the same attachments, camos, and more as you would in normal multiplayer. This also means if you want to get an attachment for a gun, but you're bad at multiplayer, you no longer have to suffer for hours and hours; instead, you can just play the campaign or the unannounced cooperative mode and get the same stuff.

Of course, it'll be interesting to see other ways that the game will focus on continuity throughout each mode. Will they all share one leveling system? Can I earn prestige tokens in the campaign? Can I unlock exclusive weapons and gear in multiplayer by playing the campaign? These are all questions that'll be surely answered as we get closer to the game's release, but it's certainly fun to speculate.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to be officially released on October 25, 2019, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
