After revealing Gunfight mode a couple of weeks back, Infinity Ward has been pretty quiet about what the rest of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's multiplayer has to offer. Now, the developer has finally broken their silence by releasing some new information about the game's weapon customization options which players will have access to when the game releases.

In a blog post, the developers revealed that customizing your weapons will be a bit different in previous years. Instead of having a select amount of attachments to choose from the entire gun, customization will now be incredibly more extensive. Players will choose five different "areas" on a weapon that they want to customize, with each weapon itself having multiple "areas" to choose from. The example used in the blog post is that of an assault rifle. ARs in the game typically have 9 areas to choose from, and you'll only be able to customize five of those at one time. This may sound confusing at first, but I have a feeling that it will all make sense once the MP is shown off for the first time during its reveal in August.

In addition to the new information, Activision also released a brand new trailer for the game, which shows off some of the different attachment options players will have (including the confirmation of grenade launchers and underbarrel shotguns). If you want to check out the trailer for yourself, you can do so at the end of the article.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is set to be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on October 25, 2019. If you pre-order the game off the PlayStation Store right now, you can get access to a Classic Captain Price character for Black Ops 4's Blackout mode.
