Mojang to Reduce Price of Scrolls Ahead of Tablet Release Because "Games are Cheap on those Things"

With the tablet version of Scrolls on the way, developer Mojang has opted to reduce the price of their game to accommodate for the different market on mobile devices.

Mojang says that the current price of $21 wouldn’t have worked on tablets.

As you probably already know, games are cheap on those things. Free-to-play would be an option, but we’re not keen on the way that that form of monetisation can affect gameplay.

Instead, Mojang has opted to drop the price to $5 on all platforms.

To recognise those who supported the game for the original price, Mojang will be giving players a $20 shard package for free.

Why Ratchet & Clank is the Most Important PS5 Game

The release date for the tablet version is still unknown, although it’s set to come out “soon.”

Scrolls is still in beta, but is expected to become a full release by the end of autumn.
