Mojang Wins the Skirmish Against Bethesda in "Scrolls" Scuffle

Minecraft developer Notch announced today that Mojang has won an interim injunction against Bethesda for their use of the name Scrolls. This doesn’t mean Notch and Co. can keep using the name as they have, but it doesn’t seem that Mojang ever intended to muscle into Elder Scrolls territory. “I am very happy,” Notch tweeted earlier this morning. “We never meant to infringe on anything bethesda does, and this means we didn’t. I love those guys.”

Bethesda can of course appeal the decision, and neither company is out of the woods just yet.
