How big is the Monster Hunter Rise Day One Update?

Thankfully for memory conscious Nintendo Switch owners, the Monster Hunter Rise day one update isn't a big one.

It clocks in at precisely 600mb which isn't too bad, all things considered.

What does the Monster Hunter Rise Day One Update fix? Patch notes.

As you can imagine, with a patch that's only 600MB, there aren't a great deal of changes. As such, Capcom hasn't really released an extensive set of patch notes. Instead, this is what they've shared:

Main Additions / Changes

  • Access to the content from the Deluxe Kit, as well as the add-on content from pre-order bonuses and amiibo bonuses.

Bug Fixes / Miscellaneous

  • Miscellaneous bug fixes have been made.

Effectively, they've just released the Deluxe Edition content to players alongside the pre-order bonuses and Amiibo functionality.

What is the pre-order bonus?

The pre-order bonus that comes included with both the Standard and the Deluxe Editions is as follows:

  • Palamute Retriever Costume layered armour
  • Palico Forest Cat Costume layered armour
  • Novice Talisman for some extra assistance in the early stages

On top of this, players who played the Monster Hunter Rise demo will, provided they don't delete their save data, receive the “Demo Player Bonus”. This includes:

  • 20 Mega Potions
  • five Pitfall Traps
  • 10 Energy Drinks
  • five Mega Demon Drugs
  • five Mega Armorskins
