Capcom held its first Capcom Special Program at TGS 2020, revealing new details on the two new Monster Hunter game coming to Nintendo Switch: Monster Hunter Rise, and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

First off, an alternate, TGS 2020 version of the Monster Hunter Rise reveal trailer was published by Capcom. You can find it further below.

Multiple details on monsters appearing in MH Rise were revealed. Though they didn't say much on the game's iconic monster, the Magnamalo (Magaimagado in Japanese).

The game's base, the village of Kamura, was introduced as well. You'll have the blacksmith and everything Monster Hunter settlements always have, in there. Like the rest of the game, it's a heavily Wafu stylized village.

Next, the Monster Hunter Stories 2 segment followed. The staff stressed out it's not an Action game like the usual but an RPG. Capcom wants Monster Hunter Stories 2 to be enjoyable by both MH fans and JRPG fans worldwide. Multiple monsters from past games of the series will appear. We were introduced to the characters too.

Capcom stressed out Red isn't the protagonist unlike what some fans initially thought. The protagonist is Red's descendant. You can make your own character too. The character creation lets you make characters like this:

The game will have these 4 iconic Monster Hunter weapons, and two new weapons they'll reveal later.

Next, we got introduced to Ena. She's a Wyverian, a "human dragon" in Japanese. She's a key character that will have a "fateful meeting with the protagonist". More characters were teased and will be detailed later.

Additional details should be coming first on Capcom's Japanese official Monster Hunter Twitter.

Monster Hunter Rise launches worldwide on March 26, 2021 on Switch. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is coming on Switch worldwide in Summer 2021.
