Monster Hunter: World Gets Beta Dates for PS Plus Members and Horizon Zero Dawn DLC Details
Capcom confirmed during the Sony PlayStation Showcase at Paris Games Week that Monster Hunter: World will receive a free beta for PlayStation Plus member From December 9 – 12, 2017.
The beta will open the game up to players around the world and allow them access to the online multiplayer features that Monster Hunter: World offers. Multiple quests will be available that will have players take on the Great Jagras, a large beast that eats other monsters in one bite, as well as, the Anjanath, who resides in the Ancient Forest. Players will also be able to head into the desert land of Wildspire Waste where they will meet an armored monster named Barroth.
Additionally, the PlayStation 4 version of Monster Hunter: World will have exclusive character DLC featuring Horizon Zero Dawn’s Aloy’s weapons and full armor set as well as Palico armor, which transforms the player’s Palico to look like a machine from Horizon Zero Dawn.
The armor set allows the player to look exactly like Aloy and will also feature some of her more expressive facial features. After completed the Horizon Zero Dawn collaboration event, which will distribute post launch, special materials can be found in Monster Hunter: World to forge weapons seen in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Lastly, a new trailer was launched that reveals the Rotten Vale area of the New World. This dungeon will contain tougher enemies the deeper the player journeys in and is home to The Radobaan, “a hulking beast that wears the carcasses scattered around the Vale for armor will need hunters to be quick and fast as they take off chunks of its bone armor and avoid its rolling attacks”.
Monster Hunter: World is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26, with a PC release at a later date.
