Monster Hunter: World has a great character customization suite that extends to your palico; it even comes with some slightly odd options.

If you read our review of Monster Hunter: World, you probably already know that it’s a fantastic game. One of its most charming aspects is the deep character customization that lets you create your personal hunter and palico buddy with great detail.

Both male and female hunters have a ton of options, and while unfortunately, they lack body customization, their faces can be adjusted in so many ways that it’s easy to lose track of time when you work on tweaking the perfect look.

Hair and facial hair options are abundant, and yes, you can even create a bearded lady if you’re into that.

While customization for the palico doesn’t have as many choices, it looks absolutely adorable, and you can change its fur with different pattern and color combinations, on top of other details like eyes, ears, and tail.

Since you still have one day to wait before you can play the game, we recorded an appetizer in the form of the character customization for male hunters, female hunters, and palicoes.

You can enjoy the videos below. If you want to see more, you can also check out a new making-of video from Capcom.

Monster Hunter: World launches tomorrow (January 26th) for PS4 and Xbox One. A PC version will be released this fall.
