Back at E3, Capcom and Square Enix announced a crossover between Monster Hunter World and Final Fantasy XIV.

Today we know when the Monster Hunter World side is going to happen, and that's with a new free update which will happen on August 2nd at 1:00 AM BST or August 1st at 5:00 PM PDT.

The update won't just include the already announced behemoth, but it will also come with the crazy cute Moogle α armor for your palico, the Drachen armor, Gae Bolg insect glave and Dragon Soul Kinsect. Cactuars will even appear in the game, with the ability to use their "1000 needles" as environmental traps.

With the announcement, we got a trailer and a few images, which you can see below.

At the moment we don't know if the PC version (which will come on Steam on August 9th) will include the Final Fantasy XIV stuff from the get-go, but the game is currently available on PS4 and Xbox One.

We recently heard that the game shipped over eight million copies worldwide, and we’re also getting a new summer event starting tonight and ending on July 26th.
