Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Gets a PC Launch Date -- January 9th

The wait for a Monster Hunter World: Iceborne PC launch is almost over, Hunters.

Monster Hunter World is fantastic, and its substantial expansion, Iceborne, is likewise phenomenal. The only real issue with the game is that our PC friends have continually had to wait to play it. The base game launched on consoles in January 2018, but it didn’t arrive on PC until August of that year. Similarly, while the Iceborne expansion launched on September 6, 2019 for PS4 and Xbox One players, PC players have been kept waiting. Well, the wait is almost over. The Monster Hunter World: Iceborne PC launch is January 9, 2020. Check out the trailer celebrating its release below.

Iceborne adds new monsters, a new hunting ground, new mechanics, and a new hub to game that was already great. Additionally, Iceborne adds “Master” rank quests, armor, and weapons. Simply put, it is an outstanding expansion to an already outstanding game.

Rajang is featured in the PC launch trailer, but I suspect that PC players may have to wait some time before they are able to hunt it. Rajang released as part of a free, post-launch update to Iceborne, and those sort of updates were not included when MHW initially released on PC. Capcom is an organized company, and they tend to repeat successful practices, so I imagine the PC version of Iceborne will receive similar treatment. Unfortunately, if this hunch is correct, we’ll have to wait for those sweet Resident Evil skins and emotes, too.

Once again, the news here is that Iceborne on PC has a release date–January 9th, 2020. The base game is available for PC now, however, as are the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Iceborne.
