The beta of Monster Hunter World for PlayStation Plus users ended just recently, but there is more on the horizon.

Capcom announced today that a new session will start at 9 AM PST (5 PM GMT/6 PM CET) on December 22nd, and will end at the same time on December 26th. Looks like Monster Hunter fans will have a merry Christmas.

The only caveat is that the beta is again only on PS4, but there is one less restriction, and it isn't a small one. Every PS4 player will be able to enjoy it, regardless of PlayStation Plus. This even includes multiplayer.

Pre-load will be available on December 18th, and if you already downloaded the client from the first beta, and you still have it on your hard disk drive, you won't need to download it again. This means that it'll most probably be exactly the same build.

If you want to see more of Monster Hunter World, you can also check out a series of mini-trailers from this morning, a trailer from yesterday afternoon focusing on the cute Palico buddies, the latest screenshots released yesterday morning, and showing the game’s most relevant NPCs, our comparison between the three graphics mode on PS4 Pro, and read about the updates planned by Capcom after the game’s release.

Incidentally, we just learned that the game’s dedicated PS4 Pro console sold 33,000 units in Japan last week.

Monster Hunter World will release worldwide on January 26th, for PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC version coming at a later date.
