Capcom released today a batch of screenshots showing a playable demo of the upcoming remaster of Monster Hunter XX, aptly named Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver.

The demo was playable today at the Monster Hunter Summit Tournament at the Big Sight venue in Tokyo, and at the moment we don’t know if it’ll be distributed online (but it’s rather likely).

It allows the player to choose among three different quests, with the objective of hunting a different iconic monster in each. All the weapons included in the game are fully playable.

Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver will release in Japan on August 25th, but Capcom made no announcement for a western release, for now.

You can check out all the screenshots below, and if you want to see more, you can check out the first trailer, a TV commercial, and a second one.

If you’re interested in the Monster Hunter franchise in general, you can also check out the announcement trailer of Monster Hunter World for PS4, Xbox One and PC, the first screenshots, and the first gameplay.
