Capcom revealed some new screenshots and information about Monster Hunter XX on Nintendo Switch on August 25 in Japan.

After the recently announced Monster Hunter XX Switch version, the publisher released new screenshots showing the UI, since the original 3DS version utilized two screens. This new HUD puts the map in the upper right corner of the screen and the hunting gauge on the lower right. Both of these will be possible to hide in the options menu.

Other improved features will be the ability to target and focus on one monster with one button, which works well using the R stick. Also, it's possible to use hunting techniques close to the 3DS version, most of which can be mapped to one button.

Additionally, the Switch version of the game will play at 1080p in TV mode and 720p in mobile mode.

As for multiplayer, both versions of the game will be able to play together on a network. This also works with save data from Monster Hunter X as well as Monster Hunter XX, players will be able to transfer 3DS save data to their Switch, after downloading an app.

More information about the Switch version is said to be coming on June 25 during Monster Hunter Championship 2017.
