Mordheim: City of the Damned, the turn-based tactics game set in Games Worshop's Warhammer universe, has received a new update today and received a new faction of degenerates and mutants.

The Cult of the Possessed are worshipers of the Dark Gods of Chaos and are the fourth playable warband to be added to the game. Seeking the favor of the Shadowlord, these unfriendly fellows are trying to collect the Wyrmstones to appease him. The warband features new abilities like Terror and Boon of Chaos that can force enemies to pass stat tests and buff allies, respectively.

Entering 'Phase 3' of Early Access, the update also adds new features such as reserve managment to strategically alter which of your units you are taking into combat. New skirmish modes have been added as well, adding Marked for Death, where you must hunt down a specific enemy unit; Crush their Will, a mode similar to capture the flag that revolves around capturing an enemy idol while protecting your own and Wyrdstone Rush, where you must collect as many shards as you can.

Mordheim: City of the Damned is available for PC now and can be purchased on Steam for a 33% discount in celebration of the new development milestone through Friday, February 6th. You can watch the new trailer detailing all of the changes below.
