More information has been revealed on Platinum’s upcoming Wii U exclusive Bayonetta 2's Tag Climax Mode, the online multiplayer co-op mode where players can team up together.

Tag Climax Mode lets you play with your friends, or be matched up with random players online. You can also team up with a CPU partner. The mode consist of challenging bosses, to hordes of enemies. The variety of characters, weapons, and accessories players can choose opens the further they advance through story mode. The more players unlock, the more options they will have at their disposal for better performance in Tag Climax Mode.

Stages are shown as "Verse Cards" in this mode. The number of accessible stages is limited to the number that players have in their disposal. Selecting a stage requires the player to bet 'Halos", with  the higher difficulty ones requiring more Halos. The higher the bet is, the higher the reward will be provided if the player manages to beat their selected stage

Bayonetta 2 is slated to come out on September 20 in Japan, and in October in North America and Europe
