An Amazon listing for the recently announced Mortal Kombat 1 has revealed a rather surprising list of fighters. Included in the description are fighters such as Peacemaker, a popular DC character played by John Cena, and Homelander, the villain of Amazon Prime's hit superhero show, The Boys.

The details come from a listing for Mortal Kombat 1's premium edition on Amazon Italy, which lists the game's roster in the product description. Not only will the premium edition reportedly grant users 72-hour early access, but it will also include "Kombat Pack 1" which includes the following characters:

Playable Characters

  • Quan Chi
  • Omni Man
  • Ermac
  • Peacemaker
  • Takeda
  • Homelander

Kameo Characters

  • Johnny Cage
  • Khameleon
  • Mavado

  • Jean Claude Van Damme (Skin)

For those that might be out of the loop and wondering what "kameo fighters" are, when NetherRealm Studios revealed Mortal Kombat 1 earlier this week, they also announced a brand-new feature. Kameo fighters are described by NetherRealm as "a unique roster of partner characters that can assist during matches, creating expanded gameplay possibilities for players."

The studio says it will reveal more details on this new gameplay element in the near future, as well as a look at the game before it launches on September 19th of this year.

Prior to its launch in September, NetherRealm Studios has confirmed that those who pre-order Mortal Kombat 1 on either PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S will receive access to the game's beta in August. Plus, all users who pre-order will receive exclusive access to Shang Tsung as an in-game playable character.

Mortal Kombat 1 will introduce a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe that has been created by the Fire God Liu Kang, featuring reimagined versions of iconic characters from previous game. Ed Boon, the co-creator of Mortal Kombat, said that the next entry in the hit fighting series "marks a new beginning for the franchise."

Mortal Kombat 1 will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 19th, 2023.
