Cassie Cage is widely considered one of the best and most approachable characters to pick up in Mortal Kombat 11. Really, the weakest part of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade's daughter is her skins. While they aren't terrible, they are a bit plain in comparison to the other character skins in the game. That is about to change with an upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 Cassie Cage skin that brings one of DC's most popular characters to the bloody tournament. That's right, Cassie Cage is getting a Harley Quinn skin. In a tweet from the official Mortal Kombat 11 Twitter account, it reads, "Fun Fact: Cassie auditioned for Birds of Prey. Unfortunately, she inherited her Father's acting skills." Along with it is a video showcasing the new Harley Quinn skin, as well as the upcoming DLC character, the T-800 (a.k.a. the Terminator).

The video is very brief, showing one of the intros Cassie Cage will have with the Terminator. This one in particular references Guns n' Roses, the famous (or infamous, depending on who you talk to) rock n' roll band that has some ties to The Terminator. As the Terminator approaches Cassie with a shotgun, Cassie questions, "What, no roses?" The Terminator simply responds, "Just guns," which Cassie naturally responds back, "Welcome to the jungle."

It was mentioned this special Mortal Kombat 11 Cassie Cage skin will make its way to the game when the Terminator DLC character releases on October 8, 2019. That date is the "Early Access" release which allows those who picked up the Kombat Pack to play the new character before it is released more widely to the public.

The Harley Quinn skin for Cassie Cage seems like the perfect match. Not necessarily because of the character it was chosen for, but because of Joker's inclusion in the game early next year. If you didn't know -- and I really don't know how you couldn't know -- the Joker essentially created Harley Quinn. When Joker does inevitably release, it will definitely scratch that Injustice itch that I've been having without actually having to download the game.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. If you are interested in all the DLC characters, you can also pick that up right now and have access to Shang Tsung and Nightwolf.
