While controversy stirs on whether developer NeatherRealm has pulled punches when it comes to revealing costume designs, Mortal Kombat cosplayers aren't letting that hinder their work. Specifically, cosplayer Okkido Cosplay is repping fan favorite femme fatale Kitana, complete with fans with some embedded blades. And boy does she kill it.

While her cosplay of Kitana isn't necessarily new, it got swept into the forefront thanks to the recent release of Mortal Kombat 11. With the game back in the media again, Okkido is looking to capture that hype by trying to place Kitana in some brand new settings:

Obviously this isn't the modern Mortal Kombat 11 version of Kitana... but there's nothing wrong with some throwback costumes, especially when they are executed so well. So far, Mortal Kombat 11 is one of the best games of 2019 coming in at a stunning 9.0 out of 10 in our review; though that isn't to say everything is perfect. The launch has been partially marred by accusations of "severe crunch" in development and predatory microtransactions which developer NeatherRealm has addressed. Though if you are new to the franchise or the competitive scene, we have a quick walkthrough to get you off on the right foot.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If you haven't picked the game up yet, it's currently on discount over at Amazon. Meanwhile, go and support Okkido Cosplay by following her Instagram and official Facebook page for gaming and gothic cosplay.
