NetherRealm Studios recently announced four of the six upcoming characters that'll be made available in the first DLC pack for Mortal Kombat 11. The first character will be Shang Tsung, played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa from the first Mortal Kombat film, followed by Night Wolf, Sindel, Spawn, and two more unannounced characters. According to a tease from Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell, it looks like one of the remaining two characters could be Ash Williams.

Last month, Campbell tweeted out that Ash would not be making an appearance in Mortal Kombat 11. However, if you watch the latest DLC trailer for the game, you can hear a chainsaw towards the end of the trailer. If you've seen Evil Dead II in particular, you'll know that this tease is practically a dead giveaway.

In Evil Dead II, Ash Williams and a group of teenagers get trapped in a cabin in the woods where they're tormented by a group of demons who are summoned by the Necronomicon a.k.a. the Book of the Dead. Ash ends up getting possessed and eventually chops his arm off with a chainsaw to become unpossessed. Obviously, he then goes on to attach that same chainsaw to the part of his arm that's missing and uses it as a weapon against the demons.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available right now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The first DLC character, Shang Tsung, will be available on June 18.It Looks Like Ash from Evil Dead Is Coming to Mortal Kombat 11
