If you've been holding off on checking out Mortal Kombat 11 so far this year, this coming weekend will finally be your chance to give the game a shot.

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. recently announced that Mortal Kombat 11 will be having a free trial weekend this coming weekend. The free phase will kick off tomorrow, October 11, and will last until October 14. Only PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will be free, however. Sorry Switch and PC, fans.

Of course, just because Mortal Kombat 11 will be free to take for a spin doesn't mean you'll be able to experience the entire game. Still, what is unlocked to play is actually pretty substantial. All multiplayer aspects of Mortal Kombat 11 will be available for play, along with the game's full roster of characters. In addition, the first three DLC fighters in Terminator, Shang Tsung, and Nightwolf will also be able to be utilized in the Tower of Time.

The biggest aspect of Mortal Kombat 11 that will be locked is likely that of the story mode. While players will still be able to experience the story a bit, you'll be locked out after the opening two chapters. Still, this should be more than enough to see if you like what is on display before deciding if you'd want to pick up the full game.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. For more on the game, be sure to check out what NetherRealm has coming up in the future in regards to new DLC fighters.
