Mortal Kombat 11 Kitana Gameplay Footage Finally Revealed

Get a look at how Kitana will play ahead of the official release of Mortal Kombat 11 later this month.

April 12, 2019

This week kicked off with a new commercial for Mortal Kombat 11 which officially confirmed that Kitana would be returning to join the game’s roster. Now, as we wrap up the week, our first official look at the character in-game has now arrived.

As you might expect, Kitana is returning to MK11 and her bladed fans are still her primary means of attacking enemies. Whether she’s stabbing others with the weapons up close or throwing them from afar, the devices seem to be just as effective as they have always been.

It’s also worth noting that the character Kitana is squaring off with in this video is D’Vorah, a fighter we haven’t seen a whole lot of up until this point. D’Vorah has always been a strange character to me, but her moves continue to look vicious here in MK11. She’s also just kind of nasty. What can I say, I don’t care for bugs.

If previous leaks are any indication, Kitana should be one of the final fighters to be joining the day one roster of Mortal Kombat 11. As of this writing, we still have a few other unconfirmed characters that are slated to be arriving as well, but NetherRealm hasn’t confirmed their inclusion just yet. With us being so close to release though, it seems likely this reveals will take place within the next week or so.

Check out the official gameplay trailer for Kitana below if you’re interested. Mortal Kombat 11 is set to release later this month on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
