Mortal Kombat 11 continues the long tradition of Netherrealm pumping out quality fighters with so much to do. Since it's launch, we've gotten tons of DLC that include new characters, storylines, and more. However, today the studio is treating old-school fans like myself with something special. As of right now, you can purchase a new Klassic MK Movie Skins pack that lets you use the voices and likenesses of Johnny Cage, Raiden, and Sonya Blade from the 1995 movie. It's a treat.

Now, of course, we already have the same treatment for Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 11. However, this new threesome features some of the game's greatest heroes. It also says to me that Netherrealm knows they can make money selling these skins. Which, as a big fan of the movie version of Kano is great news to me. Hopefully, they add in boy alongside Liu Kang and 1995 CGI Reptile. Now that would be truly excellent.

Regardless, these skins will always be rad. Not only are you getting to play as the fan-favorite characters in their iconic movie outfits, but Netherrealm gave them voice lines from the movie as well. That less than perfect audio capture takes the whole thing over the top. Look, I'd even be perfectly fine with them dipping into Mortal Kombat: Annihilation if it means I can have the film version of Jax in the game. That movie was mostly bad, but for whatever reason, 10-year-old me loved him some Jax back in the day. Make it happen, Ed Boon!

Mortal Kombat 11 is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The Movie Skins pack is also out now, so be sure to pick it up if you need a hit of that sweet, sweet nostalgia.
