The launch of Mortal Kombat 11 is nearly upon us. To celebrate, developer NetherRealm has released a flashy new trailer that shows off the game in all its glory. If this doesn't get your heart racing in anticipation of next week's launch, nothing will. Check it out below.

The trailer features a thumping new remix of "Techno Syndrome" by Dimitri Vegas. It's a powerful version of the Mortal Kombat theme you know and love, which is fitting given the action-packed trailer. The trailer features a bit of exposition from Raiden and Kronika before we get to a heavy-hitting fight between Kotal Kahn and Shao Kahn. When these two hit each other you can feel it. And the clash of titans is just the appetizer for an explosive showcase.

We see Raiden sailing in with an army of monks and Kitana leading her own troop of Shokan into battle. There's Johnny Cage blowing up a tank and Jacqui Briggs lighting up a zombie-looking creature with her wrist-mounted machine guns. Then Sub-Zero pulls a Legolas-like surf move (sans shield) as he freezes a bridge to slide into battle. It's all wild and this paragraph is just a slice of everything in the trailer. This thing is packed to the gills with classic Mortal Kombat action.

Everything here is exactly what Mortal Kombat fans are looking for. This series is bombastic and this trailer is the latest in a long line of Mortal Kombat 11 trailers that have knocked it out of the park. Mortal Kombat 11 will be out on April 23, 2019, for the Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
