There's no limit to gamers imagination and that's why we are a force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to what characters we want to play as in some of our favorite titles - and why not, I say. You would think that a petition to gain signatures on who you'd like to see in a Mortal Kombat 11 DLC would contain some tough and fearless suggestions, but nope - who do players really want? The meek-mannered, scooby snack eating Shaggy from the classic cartoon, Scooby-Do0 - that's who.

Zoinks!

Yesterday a petition was set up on Change.Org to include Shaggy, the cowardly slacker and the long-time best friend of his equally cowardly great dane, Scooby-Doo, as a DLC character in the upcoming installment of Mortal Kombat. The petition reads:

Woken News Network (WokenNews.com) is taking the much-needed initiative of starting this petition to make Shaggy a DLC character for Mortal Kombat 11.

We're calling on Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to give the fans the fighter they most certainly need. - Woken News

All jokes aside, it seems as though it is being taken rather seriously due to the high number of signatures it has already received. At this current time of writing, the obvious desire to include shaggy in a DLC has already reached over 44,380 folks logging on to sign their support to the cause - and yes, I too signed it because why not, I would love to see Shaggy kick some ass with a mystery machine melee or a scooby-snack slash.

As hilarious as this would be, there's a high chance it won't happen. Although let's not dismiss it totally because Warner Bros. do own the rights to Scooby-Doo but I'm pretty sure parents would be up in arms due to the child-friendly image Shaggy has being turned into a blood-soaked, violent fighter wouldn't go down too well, I'd presume.

Until we see how this petition plays out, you can watch some Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay from when staff writer Zack went to LA for the Mortal Kombat 11 reveal event.

Mortal Kombat 11 comes out on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One on April 23. If you pre-order on Amazon, you’ll get exclusive access to the open beta later in March as well as Shao Kahn.
