It seems this week has no shortage of news for NetherRealm's upcoming game, Mortal Kombat 11. At an event in Moscow, Russia, it was announced the Kold War Skarlet skin would be included in the game but with one caveat. The skin will be exclusive to the Russian special edition of the game.

The skin presents the fan-favorite character in Soviet-styled attire. This is not the first time NetherRealm has put its characters in Russian-inspired gear. Kano, Sub-Zero, and Sonya all received the same treatment with the Kold War skin pack for Mortal Kombat X.

Mortal Kombat 11

This is the second Mortal Kombat game Skarlet has appeared in. Her debut was in Mortal Kombat (2011) where she was a downloadable character. From the gameplay shown at the event, it appears that she is not only skilled with a knife but also has can utilize blood as a weapon which is exemplified in her "fatal blow" move and fatality.

This week has been loaded with Mortal Kombat 11 news thanks to the reveal event a few days ago. The first official look at gameplay, the story's prologue, and new fighters all gave the audience a good look of what to expect from the newest entry of the long-running fighting game series.

Among these announcements also included Ronda Rousey's role in Mortal Kombat 11. The WWE Superstar and former UFC fighter will be lending her voice to Sonya Blade. Rumors about her inclusion had been circling around the internet prior to the event. Those rumors came to fruition when she got up on stage excitedly discussing her part in the game.

Mortal Kombat 11 will launch on April 23, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A Gamestop exclusive "Kollector's Edition" will be available to purchase which includes a lifesize replica of Scorpion's mask. If you preorder the game now, you will get Shao Kahn as well as access to the beta as a bonus.
