Following the full reveal of Mortal Kombat 11's Kombat Pack lineup last week, we now have more information on one of the new playable fighters, specifically when it comes to who will be voicing the character.Revealed over on Twitter recently, Spawn, who is set to come to MK11 next year on March 17, 2020, will be voiced by actor Keith David. David made the announcement himself simply saying that "It's official!" while sharing a picture of Spawn's character design from the game.

If you're unaware, David has previously served as the voice of Spawn some twenty years ago. Back in the late 90s, HBO had an animated series called Todd McFarlane's Spawn that ran for three seasons. David played the role of Spawn in the show and has since been attached to the character by fans ever since.

David's return to the role of Spawn is cool to see, especially considering the team at NetherRealm has also brought back other iconic actors to portray characters in MK11. Shang Tsung, the first DLC addition to Mortal Kombat 11, was played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who portrayed the character in the old Mortal Kombat films back in the day. His likeness was also used in the game, too.

As mentioned above, the only downside of Spawn's addition to Mortal Kombat 11 is that it is so far out. Spawn will be the final character added via the Kombat Pack following the release of other characters like Sindel, the T-800 (Terminator), and Joker. Still, it's cool to know that Spawn is clearly being done correctly for when he does join the game's roster.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.
