This morning, Warner Bros. announced that beloved fantasy fighting series Mortal Kombat will be coming to the PlayStation Vita. The game is currently in development by NetherRealm Studios and is slated for release sometime this spring.
Kombat‘s Vita version will include brand new gameplay features and content developed exclusively for the system and its sexy touch pad technology.
Warner Bros. has promised to tease more details on these new-fangled gameplay features “in the coming months.” A demo of the game will be playable at the Vita Hill Social Club events this week.
Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios, said: “The NetherRealm team is committed to making sure that we follow up the success of 2011’s Mortal Kombat with an equally compelling experience on the PlayStation Vita. The original game content and new features we developed for the PlayStation Vita will provide gamers with the best fighting game experience available on the new mobile platform.”
