Mortal Kombat XL Balance Patch and Kombat Kast Announced for Early October

on October 1, 2016 12:25 AM

Recently NetherRealm head (and master troll) Ed Boon announced that Mortal Kombat XL would be receiving a balance patch to coincide with the game’s PC release on October 4th. To celebrate, the studio is going to hold a live broadcast on October 3rd that highlights all the changes being made to each character. For those unfamiliar, these ‘Kombat Kasts’ generally are held before a major inclusion to MKX(L) such as the Kombat Pack 1 and 2 DLC.

While hosts Tyler Lansdown and Derek Kirtzic will be breaking down all the balancing notes in a few days, Boon has been teasing some of the more interesting changes on his twitter. This includes nerfing Alien’s tail, giving Shinnok a useful dash cancel, and making Goro’s punchwalk even more deadly.

If you’re looking for specifics you can see it all on NetherRealm’s twitch channel October 3rd at 3pm Central Daylight Time (CDT). Heck, they might surprise us all and announce yet another Kombat Pack during this kast; you never know…
