Killing enemies to reach an objective is a staple in most games. There are so many ways in which games allow players to do this. They can shoot enemies with bullets, slice them up with an assortment of blades, or do something as basic as jumping on top of them. Whatever the case may be, weapons are usually involved.
Weapons, a lot of the time, can take on regular forms like a simple sword or pistol. This list will take those regular boring old weapons out of the equation and provide players with some of the best weapons found in gaming.
10 Gauss Rifle - Fallout 76
The Gauss Rifle in Fallout 76 is a very aesthetically pleasing weapon for players to use. It can be heavily modded to make it a lot more powerful as well as have its appearance changed. The regular rusty appearance of the gun is somewhat bland, but when the presidential paint is added to it, the gun looks much cooler.
The weapon is so powerful that it can take out super mutants in the game with two shots. It has to be one of the best sniper weapons, but it needs to be charged fully to do its highest damage output possible.
9 Plasma Cutter - Dead Space
If a player is asked to think of a gun from Dead Space, they will usually think about the Plasma Cutter. This is the first weapon in the Dead Space series, but it packs a nice punch throughout the game and never stops being fun to use. It has a horizontal and vertical firing mode to be precise in cutting off enemy body parts.
The weapons backstory as originally being a mining tool turned into a weapon is an interesting take on the gun as it never feels out of place.
8 Jerry - MultiVersus
Jerry in MultiVersus serves as a weapon for the Tom and Jerry character. These are two different characters that work as one. What's special about this character combo that players don't see in a lot of other fighting games is that Tom is trying to kill Jerry in any way possible. Through this, Tom is able to inflict damage on other enemies.
He will strap Jerry onto a rocket, fling tennis balls at him, and even sling him on a slingshot to deal damage to their opponent. It's a lot of fun to see all the different interactions that these characters have with one another while Jerry is flung around to deal damage.
7 Master Sword - The Legend of Zelda Series
The Master Sword in The Legend of Zelda series has to be one of the most iconic weapons in gaming. Getting to the Master Sword is usually a challenge. One of the most frustrating instances of this -- yet also the most rewarding -- occurs in Twilight Princess as players must solve one of the most difficult puzzles in the Zelda series before getting the sword.
The power of the sword can be felt as soon as players first start to swing away with it. It is a core piece of Link's gear that has not been modified much in terms of how it works and its power over the years.
6 Chaingun - Doom: Eternal
The Chaingun in Doom: Eternal has some fascinating mods that make its aesthetic appearance change drastically. The mobile turret mod makes it turn into a huge holdable minigun turret that can quickly take out large enemies but consumes a lot of ammo when it is being used.
The micro missile's transformation that it has makes the gun change lightly but takes out two sections that have micro missiles. This transformation is not as cool to stare at as the other, but it does a crazy amount of damage to enemies in its way.
5 Pixelizer - Ratchet & Clank Remake
The Pixelizer, appearing in the Ratchet & Clank Remake and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, works a lot like a basic shotgun. What makes this gun so fun to use is that enemies killed by this gun will turn into pixels. It somehow always manages to be a sight that players will want to keep seeing.
The gun is powerful and has some fun upgradable options in both of the games that change its appearance. It can also be upgraded to have an increased fire rate and ammo regeneration, which is a ton of fun to exploit in the late game.
4 Ray Gun - Call of Duty: World at War And Onward
The Ray Gun was first introduced into the Call of Duty series in Call of Duty: World at War. It was a weapon that could be unlocked in the campaign mode as an Easter egg in one of the missions. It is also the first wonder weapon to have appeared in the zombie mode introduced in World at War.
The weapon is extremely powerful to use. Everyone who's ever played any of the zombie modes in Call of Duty has been saved at one point or another by getting a lucky draw and picking this weapon out of the mystery box.
3 Moonveil Katana - Elden Ring
The Moonveil Katana in Elden Ring is the weapon of choice for anyone who loves dexterity and intelligence builds. This weapon is really quick and can deal a lot of damage to enemies. It also is not too difficult to find as most players who are explorative will run across the cave it's hidden in.
The katana's weapon art is also really cool as it has a magical animation that shoots a beam of slashing blue light at enemies. After using the attack, the player can then swing the sword quickly to do some big damage.
2 F.L.U.D.D. - Super Mario Sunshine
F.L.U.D.D. is the primary weapon that's used in Super Mario Sunshine. Unlike any weapon in basically any game ever, this weapon uses water to deal damage to the game's enemies, which are mainly made up of paint. The great thing about the F.L.U.D.D is its customizability.
The F.L.U.D.D. has a standard hose shooting option and many more options like its jetpack mode. That mode lets players use the water inside F.L.U.D.D. to fly to high places or over enemies made of paint to destroy them. Since the game takes place in a tropical setting, the F.L.U.D.D. is easily replenishable from the surrounding water. It also speaks, which is a cute little touch to the game.
1 Ultima Keyblade - Kingdom Hearts 3
The Ultima Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 3 is a weapon that few gamers will ever have in their possession. It is the hardest weapon to unlock in the game as players must follow an extensive list of tasks to unlock it. These tasks will not be able to be completed until the game is finished or near finished.
If a player manages to get the extensive list of objectives done and unlock the weapon, it is worth it. The weapon is the most aesthetically beautiful to play with as it has a transformation that makes the player feel like the strongest Keyblade wielder around. The weapon does high damage and attacks that summon a flurry of other Keyblades. It's the hardest to get on this list, but also the most satisfying to use and watch as it tears foes apart.
