Today, developer Terrible Posture Games (the team behind Tower of Guns) and publisher Grip Digital (who is always acting as a co-developer) announced Mothergunship, a bullet-hell FPS for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, set to release December 29, 2017.

As mentioned above, Mothergunship is a bullet-hell FPS that pits you, Earth’s last hope, against the armadas of data-hoarding robotic alien invaders. According to the Terrible Posture Games, the game mixes bullet-hell intensity with the shooting, customization, and traversal of the first-person genre.

The following overview is provided of the game's combat:

Face off against overwhelming odds in brutal, non-stop combat where thinking on your feet is the only way to survive. Dodge hundreds of bullets with unique FPS/Bullet-hell hybrid gameplay. Each ship hosts hordes of alien machines, deadly traps, and intimidating bosses, all set on preventing you from saving humanity. Go get ‘em.

Another focal point is the game's gun crafting system, which according to the developer, is "one of the most modular gun-crafting systems ever seen in a videogame." Want a twelve-barrel gun that shoots homing rockets? No problem. A lighting shotgun? No problem. How about a gun with a fishtank afixed on the top? Also no problem.

The game boasts full co-op as well, whether this is online co-op or local co-op (or both) is currently unclear.

A price point hasn't been divulged, but an announcement trailer has. You can check it out below:
