After forming his new studio, White Owls Inc., game creator SWERY unveiled their first game, The Good Life. The game recently launched on the crowdfunding site Fig in order to assist with the studio's development cost. Currently, the campaign has reached $227k if its $1.5 million goal, ending on October 12.

In a surprise post, White Owls launched a new video showing creator Swery providing some early motion capture for the game's protagonist Naomi. However, the video makes it clear that this footage isn't final and is to be just used for testing, but it's still amusing to see the creator act out some rather interesting poses and scenes.

The Good Life has players assume the role of Naomi, as she finds herself attempting to repay her debt by working in the happiest little town of Rainy Woods. However there's only one problem, there is no cell phone or internet service to be found in the town and sadly Naomi cannot cope with this sudden change.

In the story, a woman is found murdered and everyone in the town is a suspect. Evidently, this isn't her only problem as the town holds other secrets such as the citizens being able to turn into cats at night. Naomi also gains this ability and uses it to solve the murder mystery while paying off her large debt.

The Good Life is in development for PC and PS4, and has a release date tentatively set for Q3 2019. There is also a stretch goal for a Nintendo Switch release.
