A couple weeks ago, Koch media, that publishes the console version of Mount & Blade: Warband in Europe, announced the European release date for Xbox One and PS4, which will be on September 16th.

That said, the press release did not make any mention of a North American release, and no equivalent announcement was made for the other side of the pond.

DualShockers reached out to developer TaleWorlds Entertainment, requesting further information on when the game will be released in North America, and today we finally heard back. Mount & Blade Warband will be available digitally for PS4 and Xbox One on the same day as Europe, September 16th.

If you're unfamiliar with the game, Mount & Blade: Warband is a sandbox RPG set in the fictional fantasy world of Calradia, allowing players to decide their own path and destiny, joining one of the available warring factions, becoming a general, a vassal, an independent mercenary, a bandit or even a king.

With its massive first-person field battles, the game quickly became a cult classic on Steam, with a rather large and very dedicated fanbase. While the visuals aren't exactly great by nowadays' standards (and they weren't great when it launched earlier), the gameplay is stellar, and I personally sunk more hours into it than I can remember.
