One of the features of the PlayStation 3 that I would utilize from time to time (though not often) was the music visualizer. Pretty much putting on an MP3 and watching the PS3 show shots of the earth and whatever else was available. Sony has confirmed that only has the music visualizer feature been left out of the upcoming PlayStation 4, but so has support for MP3s altogether.

Gamers were unable to play their MP3s in the background while playing PS3 games, and this will once again be the case when they are playing PS4 games. However, if you subcribe to Sony's Music Unlimited service, you will be able to listen to other music while you play games on the PS4.

The PlayStation 4 will launch on November 15th and 29th, 2013 and February 22nd, 2013 in North America, the United Kingdom, and Japan, with a total of over 30 launch titles.
