MS Calls Forza 4 'The Definitive Racer of 2011', 'Most Realistic Racer on Any Console'

Just because someone says that they are the best at something doesn’t mean they are taking shots at others who do the same thing right? Well Microsoft’s recently released statement pertaining to its upcoming racer Forza 4 may have you thinking twice about that. Announcing the game, MS lauds:

“Forza Motorsport 4 will be the most expansive and vividly realistic automotive experience across any console, bringing you closer to the edge than you’ve ever been before, bone-jarring physics, unparalleled levels of customization, and rosters of dream cars and tracks”.

If that first line isn’t taking shots at Gran Turismo 5, then I don’t think anything is. Then again, MS isn’t the only one slinging mud at GT5. I guess it’s doing something right. Forza 4 was announced at Spike’s VGAs this past weekend. Players will also be able to utilize the recently launched Kinect peripheral to “step into the driver’s seat”.

The functionality is rumored to relate to the E3 demo in which the interior and exterior of a car was examined using hand motions, in addition to game play, though this is not confirmed. Forza Motorsport 4 will release in fall of 2011 exclusively for the Xbox 360.
