Today, PC gaming hardware frontrunner MSI, peripheral gaming manufacturer SteelSeries proudly announce, the new Optix MPG series of curved gaming monitors, which now support the SteelSeries Engine.
According to the press release, this new line of gaming monitors is a result of the longstanding partnership between both companies. By utilizing five RGB zones located on the front of the monitor, PC gamers and techies alike will now be able to easily program lighting effects within the SteelSeries Engine, allowing their rigs inform them of in-game timers, statistics, cooldowns or notifications from their Discord account.
MSI has also stated that the Optix MPG series will now consist of two 27-inch monitors, the Optix MPG27C and Optix MPG27CQ. Which now marks the next generation of MSI gaming monitors sporting a curved VA panel with a 1800R curve. Additionally, both models will include a 144Hz refresh rate and a1ms response time. What makes these two models stand out from one another, however, is the Optix MPG27CQ monitor will be equipped with a 1440p WQHD screen, while the Optix MPG27C will display 1080p resolution.
Other features available on the monitors include a curvature rate of 1800R, a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees, as well as less blue light and anti-flicker technology. Making this line of monitors the most versatile on the market. On top of that, all the monitors have a built-in FPS sight toggle which is easily accessible.
Currently, MSI Optix MPG series is now available on Amazon, Newegg, Fry’s, and Best Buy. Those who purchase a monitor now until April 8 will be eligible to receive a special worldwide launch edition, which includes a SteelSeries QcK Prism mousepad, free of charge.
