Murdered: Soul Suspect Gets an Announcement Trailer, Shows What's on the Other Side

June 4, 2013

It’s been a while since we saw the teaser of Murdered: Soul Suspect that will be published by Square Enix in early 2014 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and today we finally get to see and learn more about the game.

The game tells the tale of Ronan O’Connor, a cop whose conscience is not exactly spotless. After being killed by a brutal murderer, he’s stuck between life and death in the limbo-like world of Dusk. he won’t be able to find peace before bringing his killer to justice himself.

Unfortunately things aren’t as easy as they sound. Ronan is a ghost, so he can’t communicate with anyone including his colleagues. He can, though, read minds and influence the actions of the living. As part of his supernatural investigation he’ll be able to freely explore the town of Salem, Massachusetts, and interrogate the long deceased citizens for clues. In the meanwhile he’ll have to fight against demonic spirits to save his soul and uncover the truth about his murderer.

Sounds interesting? It sure does for me. Open world gameplay, supernatural investigations, ghosts and demons…seriously, what not to love? You can check out the announcement trailer below, showing both a CG cutscene (that looks like the intro) and gameplay.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
