Mad Fellows announced today the official release date for their upcoming music driven shooter, Aaero. The game is scheduled to release across Xbox One, PS4, and PC on April 11, 2017.

Aaero is a music driven on-rails shooter that includes electronic music tracks from some of the most influential artists in the genre. The art style and environments are quite unique and fit well with the music and overall theme of the game. Drawing inspiration from REZ, the game looks to promise an amazing experience especially when played with a decent set of headphones.

The game was originally scheduled to release in February, but was pushed back a few months. Mad Fellows were also playing with the idea of releasing the game on Wii U, but no mention has been made if the game will get a Wii U release at this point. It's interesting to see if the game will make an appearance on the Switch, as this seems like a perfect title to take on the go.

If this is your first time hearing about Aaero, here is a brief description of the game from its Steam Store page:

Speed through stunning, stylised environments tracing ribbons of light, releasing the energy in the music. Battle strange enemies and fight epic boss battles all driven by an incredible licensed soundtrack.

Independent micro-studio ‘Mad Fellows’ brings you a unique and innovative game featuring music from Noisia, Flux Pavilion, Katy B, The Prototypes, Neosignal and many more.

Aaero is scheduled to release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC via Steam on April 11.
