DMM's Muv-Luv themed mobile game Muv-Luv Alternative: Strike Frontier is shutting down in July, as reported by DualShockers a few days ago.

While it's always sad to see a game go (and especially one that contributed actively to ease my stress level), the developers have taken a rather unusual approach to the end of the title's life.

Instead of just telling their users "thanks for all the fish" and closing up shop, they're making sure that fans are able to enjoy all there is to enjoy in the game before it goes the way of the dodo.  With a new update today all the time-limited story events have been unlocked. This means that players who missed on story content will be able to check everything out.

As a bonus, since each story chapter grants gems, those can be used in turn with the gacha to unlock more characters and further character-specific story content.

This is in addition to a massive event that has been going on since the beginning of this week, and that basically allows dedicated players to keep unlocking new pilots without spending a dime. Basically, all the content of the game is being condensed in its final month, and fans will be able to experience it like they never did during Muv-Luv Alternative: Strike Frontier's nearly two years of lifetime.

If you ask me, this is certainly a good way to go out with a bang.
